Madressah teacher arrested for assaulting visually impaired child in Haripur

Police apprehended a madressah teacher accused of sexually assaulting a visually impaired child five-year-old in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Haripur area.

According to District Police Officer (DPO) Farhan, a case was registered at Saddar Police Station on July 10 after the child’s family filed a formal complaint.

The first information report (FIR) stated that the incident occurred in the mosque room where the child, who is visually impaired, regularly recited the Holy Quran.

The accused, Noor Jalil, son of Muhammad Ansar and a resident of Palas Kohistan, was arrested by a team led by DSP Saddar Muhammad Arif and SHO Inspector Akhtar Hussain.

The case has been registered under Section 376.53 of the Criminal Procedure Act. Police have confirmed that the suspect is in custody, and the investigation is actively underway.
