At least four people were killed and five others injured after an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in the Naal Bazaar area of Balochistan’s Khuzdar district, police confirmed on Wednesday.
According to officials, the explosive device was planted in a motorcycle and detonated, causing fires in nearby vehicles and spreading panic in the area.
Law enforcement and rescue teams swiftly arrived, transferring the injured to nearby hospitals while securing the blast site.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti condemned the attack, vowing to eliminate terrorism and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The blast follows a similar attack two days earlier in the province’s Kalat district, where a female suicide bomber targeted a paramilitary convoy, killing one soldier and injuring four others.
