#BushraBibiNeedsHelp trends on ‘X’ as PTI alleges ‘poisoning’ of Imran Khan’s wife in Bani Gala

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters urged an immediate medical examination for the party founder, Imran Khan's wife, Bushra Bibi, who is currently incarcerated in Bani Gala. They alleged that she had been given a substance in her food causing serious health problems.

Amid ongoing reports on Bushra Bibi's health circulating in the media for over a week, PTI supporters started the hashtag #BushraBibiNeedsHelp on the microblogging site 'X,' stressing the urgency of her medical examination due to a "serious threat" to her life.

Bushra Bibi was sentenced to 14 years in prison in the Toshakhana case. She is currently serving her sentence at Bani Gala, which has been declared a sub-jail by the authorities. 

Imran Khan's sister, Uzma Khan, filed a petition on Monday in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) requesting permission for Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) Gastroenterologist Dr Asim Yousaf to conduct a medical check-up on Bushra Imran Khan.

Earlier, Bushra Bibi's spokesperson and lawyer, Mashal Yousafzai, expressed concern over her deteriorating health. 

“Bushra Imran Khan’s life is in serious danger, her tests should be cross-checked with Shaukat Khanum and after that she should be transferred to Adiala Jail,” her post read on ‘X’.

In a strongly worded post on 'X', PTI leader Qasim Khan Suri said, “I am giving a warning once again that Bushra Bibi's health is worsening, she is not even being allowed to undergo a medical examination, whoever has fed her with wrong food and banned medical examination if something happens to Bushra Bibi, those responsible will face severe consequences."

A PTI follower, Hina Yousafzai claimed, "Bushra Bibi is poisoned in Bani Gala and her videos of being seriously ill are being shown to IK to pressurise him to bow down to them. Khan’s lawyers need to look into this. No one is talking about it.”
