CII chief says man should get permission from UC instead of wife for second marriage

ISLAMABAD: The Chairman Islamic Ideological Council Dr. Raghib Naeemi has said that permission should be taken from the Union Council instead of the wife for the second marriage.
According to details, Chairman of the Islamic Ideological Council Dr. Naeemi in a TV interview said that the courts are currently being disrupted under 1961, it is a one-sided affair, it sees the will of the wife, there is no concept of the will of the husband.
The Chairman of the Islamic Ideological Council said that in general, the Shari'ah says that Khula is reached by the will of the spouses, we are also looking at the law of Khula, instead of Khula, look at the divorced marriage which does not require the will of the man.
Dr. Raghib said that there is a concept that permission from the first or second wife is required for marriage, but for the second marriage, permission can be taken from the union council instead of the wife and the husband has to prove it.
He said about the marriage It is recommended to make a law to limit dowry to one tola of gold.
