Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur announced funds for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) public gathering, scheduled for February 8 in Swabi. The event marks the first anniversary of the 2024 General Elections, which PTI claims were rigged.

A spokesperson for CM Gandapur stated that he would personally contribute at least Rs5 million toward the event. He also assured that if any public property or machinery was damaged during the protest, he would cover the costs.

Besides this, Gandapur has already paid for the fare of trains and buses for a convoy he plans to lead from Dera Ismail Khan to Swabi.

The spokesperson emphasised that Gandapur remains committed to supporting PTI, and the convoy expenses and public gathering funding reflect his dedication to the party.

However, PTI was set to hold a public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore, on Saturday to commemorate the election anniversary, but the party was denied permission to do so.
