Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz criticised the PTI protest, describing it as an "act of terrorism,' stating that several police officers have been injured in 'armed attacks' by the PTI wrokers.

In her statement, Maryam alleged that PTI protesters had fired at police posts in Ghazi Barotha, Mianwali, the Hazara Motorway, and other areas, resulting in injuries to over 20 police personnel, including an SP, DSP  and SHO.

She asserted that protesters were seen carrying short machine guns, tear gas, knives, masks, and other weapons typically restricted to law enforcement agencies.

Maryam added that the Punjab Police had been kept unarmed in the past to prevent clashes and confirmed that they remained unarmed during these events. She condemned the attack by one province’s police force on another as an act that undermines national unity.

Meanwhile, PTI supporters are traveling in convoys from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Islamabad, clashing with police at various points on the night of November 24 and throughout Monday.
