Dr Akash murder probe 'uncovers' seven-member robbery gang

Police investigating the Dr Akash murder case have revealed that one of the three arrested suspects, identified as Anil, was a highly wanted robbery suspect sought by Malir Police in Karachi.

According to police officials, Anil was allegedly involved in the armed robbery of a trader in the Shah Latif area a few months ago. He and his accomplices reportedly fled with cash worth Rs100 million during the incident.

Police said two of Anil’s alleged accomplices were later arrested by Shah Latif Police, who recovered more than Rs50 million from their possession.

Officials further stated that Anil had managed to evade arrest during previous police raids and remained absconding until his arrest in the Dr Akash murder case.

Investigators also alleged that Anil and another arrested suspect, Ram Chand, were members of a seven-person gang involved in multiple cash-snatching incidents.

Police said efforts are continuing to trace and arrest the remaining suspects linked to the high-profile murder case.
