Dr Faiqa Qureshi, daughter of late Air Marshal Nur Khan, dies in road accident in US

Dr Faiqa Qureshi, a 75-year-old physician, died in a road accident in Dinwiddie County, Virginia, US authorities confirmed.
Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD), where she served, announced her death in a statement, saying: "We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dr. Faiqa Qureshi, a dedicated pediatric emergency medicine physician and treasured member of the CHKD community."
The hospital said Dr Qureshi joined CHKD in 1993 and later served as the medical director of the Emergency Department for several years, playing a key role in patient care and medical training.
According to the Virginia State Police, officers were called at around 9am on December 26 to a single-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 85, approximately 2.5 miles north of McKenney Highway.
Police said a 2024 Lexus RX 350, driven by Dr Qureshi, veered off the left side of the road and caught fire. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
The late doctor was the daughter of late Air Marshal Nur Khan.
