Applicants who meet the age requirement must first secure an online pre-appointment before visiting a driving license branch. After receiving a pre-appointment token, they must appear in person at the designated branch with their original Computerized National Identity Card.
Following registration, applicants are required to undergo a fitness examination conducted by a medical officer. To obtain a permanent driving license, individuals must first acquire a learner’s driving license, which is valid for one year.
The Traffic Department issues permanent driving licenses for both cars and motorcycles with two validity periods: three years and five years. The fees are Rs1,410 for a three-year license and Rs1,860 for a five-year license.
