The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) conducted raids on Bahria Town's offices in Islamabad.

According to media reports, they seized key documents as part of their ongoing investigation into alleged money laundering and illicit financial networks of the real estate firm.

Bahria Town staff members were also detained after hawala-hundi and money laundering networks linked to property tycoon Malik Riaz and his son Ali Riaz were unearthed, the reports said.

Three major cases of money laundering have been identified, including Rs1.58 trillion between 2016 and January 2025, about Rs1 billion from 2015 to March 2025, and nearly Rs24 billion during the 2005–2015 period.

Officials said that the newly recovered material supported evidence already under NAB review, prompting the anti-graft body to revive previously pending cases against the developer.

The officials also suspected the existence of benami properties linked to Bahria Town, valued at hundreds of billions of rupees.

They said both FIA and NAB have increased their inquiries and plan to begin daily legal proceedings next week.

They vowed to take the cases to their logical end and hold those responsible accountable.
