LAHORE: Former Kashana Welfare Home chief Afshan Latif is reportedly selling sweet potatoes in Lahore after her dismissal from the post following her allegation that the facility was being used to supply underage girls to powerful ministers of the Punjab government during PTI tenure.
No the video of her selling sweet potatoes on a pushcart is going viral on the internet. The location and authenticity of the video are yet to be confirmed.
Afshan Latif is said to be the topper female of the Punjab Public Service Commission.
Latif was sacked from her post, while her husband and she was arrested after the allegations against the influential during the PTI government.
Latif in a series of videos posted on social media, had accused the Punjab government of persecuting her for bringing the matter to light.
Latif had alleged that even after her appointment, the illegal practices continued at the centre. She had filed a complaint to her department against the Director-General of Kashana, Afshan Kiran Imtiaz.
The complaint stated that Imtiaz was pressuring Latif to marry underage girls to high-ranking officials.
