A recent meeting of former federal minister Faisal Vawda with former president Asif Ali Zardari has sparked speculations that the ex-PTI leader could be joining the Pakistan Peoples Party.
A photo capturing a moment of camaraderie as Zardari placed his hand upon Vawda's face is going viral on social media.
Sharing the photo on its X account, the PPP said, "Faisal Vawda met President of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians Asif Ali Zardari. During the meeting, the two discussed the political situation."
On October 26, 2022, Faisal Vawda held a press conference discussing Imran Khan's Azadi march and revealing the party's stance on the march.
The PTI deemed Vawda's statements inconsistent with party policy, leading to the issuance of a show cause notice, demanding an explanation for his media interaction without party consent. With no response from Vawda by October 29, 2022, the PTI, under the signature of Chairman Imran Khan, terminated Vawda's membership due to his failure to address the party's concerns.
His photo with Zardari has become a focal point of discussions, with political pandits suggesting a potential shift in his political allegiance towards the PPP.
