Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan’s senior leader Dr Farooq Sattar has announced that he will stage a sit-in on Karachi’s Shahrah-e-Faisal along with six million motorcyclists if the e-challan system is not withdrawn.

According to Express News, while addressing a public meeting in Surjani Town Sector 4-B, Farooq Sattar said that the e-challan system has become a new way to exploit the people of Karachi.

He accused the Sindh government of failing to provide basic civic facilities while continuing to burden citizens with increasing taxes.

“First fix the roads, the city is in ruins, but Abdullah is lost in his own world,” he remarked sarcastically.

Farooq Sattar questioned, “If the e-challan system has not been implemented in Larkana, Kashmore, and Dadu, then why is it being enforced only in Karachi?”

The MQM leader said that the people reject the Sindh government’s unjust, feudal style taxation policies. “You don’t build roads or repair the sewage system, yet you keep imposing more and more taxes. Dumpers and containers are claiming innocent lives, and now these people want to take our money too, this cannot continue,” he added.

He warned that if the e-challan system is not withdrawn, citizens will take to the streets in protest. “If the e-challan system is not stopped, I will lead a sit-in on Shahrah-e-Faisal along with six million motorcyclists,” he declared.
