Malaysian PM rejects Indian media’s attempt to link Pakistan to terrorism

Another attempt by Indian media to link Pakistan with terrorism appeared to fall flat during an interview with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

Responding to a question seeking to link Pakistan to terrorism, Anwar Ibrahim categorically said that Malaysian security agencies had not informed him that the Pakistani state was connected to terrorism.

Anwar Ibrahim, who is visiting India to attend the BRICS summit, made the remarks during an interview with Indian media.

He also condemned Israel’s ongoing military offensive in Gaza and called for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

The Malaysian prime minister described Israel’s continued attacks on Gaza as state terrorism and called for an end to the occupation of Palestinian territories.

During the interview, an Indian journalist attempted to link Pakistan to the Pahalgam incident. In response, Anwar Ibrahim said he had not been told by Malaysian security agencies that the Pakistani state was linked to terrorism.

He further said that no evidence had been provided to him linking Pakistan to the Pahalgam incident.
