Field Marshal Asim Munir departs for Iran on official visit: Security sources

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has departed for Iran on an important official mission.

According to security sources, Field Marshal Asim Munir is expected to hold meetings with senior Iranian officials during his visit.

It is worth noting that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is also currently in Iran.

During his stay, he met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss regional de-escalation efforts and matters related to ending tensions between Iran and the United States.

According to a news agency report, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held detailed discussions with Abbas Araghchi regarding draft proposals aimed at ending the Iran-US conflict.

The Iranian news agency stated that both sides also reviewed possible mechanisms for maintaining peace and stability in the region.

Meanwhile, diplomatic sources said that Mohsin Naqvi will remain in Tehran today as well, where he continues to hold important meetings concerning Iran-US negotiations.
