The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the launching of the 'air ambulance service' in the province and also decided to declare Peshawar’s Hayatabad area as a 'healthcare city'.

The decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.

CM directed authorities to take all measures to complete tasks as soon as possible and begin services within four months.

The meeting also decided to form an emergency motorbike response unit, aiming to provide health facilities to the far-flung areas of the KP province.

Furthermore, it was decided in the meeting that the government would establish a health information and services delivery unit to ensure quality treatment in public hospitals.

Gandapur-led KP government will initiate an executive checkup program under which elderly citizens aged over 65 years could avail the facility of free routine checkups every three months.

CM instructed the concerned authorities to take steps towards boosting the health facilities by providing ultrasound, Operation Theater, and Gynecology services in the rural and urban areas of the province.

Moreover, the PTI leader directed to ensure the availability of doctors and other staff in the said facilities every time.

CM Gandapur ordered the health department and other concerned officials to integrate a new health policy in the province within a month.
