SHO Margalla, others suspended for raiding Barrister Gohar's house

SHO Margalla and four police officers have been temporarily suspended for raiding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Gohar Khan's house.

According to the spokesperson of the Federal Police, an inquiry has been carried out against raid on Gohar's house yesterday.  

They added that the police reached a house in search of the wanted criminals on a tip-off only to discover it belonged to Gohar Ali Khan.

The suspended offices include SI, Haider Ali, who is officer Incharge PS Margalla, SI, Mansabdar, Sajjad, Tahir and Lady Constable Shabana. 

ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has appointed DPO City as an inquiry officer and has issued orders to submit a detailed report within 3 days. 

Dr. Akbar has assured Barrister Gohar of legal action if any police officer is found guilty.

According to the Islamabad Police, Barrister Gohar had complained to the Chief Justice of Supreme Court about the raid incident. CJP summoned the police officer and issued an order to investigate the matter.

Unidentified masked men barged into the residence of PTI Chairman and assaulted his son and nephew on Saturday, while the barrister was attending the Supreme Court hearing on his party's electoral symbol "bat".
