Gold prices surge in Pakistan, global markets

Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Monday, reflecting a rise in international rates.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola rose by Rs1,700, reaching Rs303,200.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs1,458 to settle at Rs259,945.
The surge comes after a notable decline on Saturday, when gold prices fell by Rs4,700 per tola to Rs301,500.

In the international market, gold prices also saw an upward trend. APGJSA reported the global gold rate at $2,900 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $17 increase during the day.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market remained stable at Rs3,350 per tola.
On Friday, gold prices in Pakistan reached an all-time high of Rs306,200 per tola.
