All the legal hurdles were removed on Thursday in the smooth return of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif's sons, Hasan and Hussain after their arrest warrants in the Al-Azizia, Flagship and Avenfield cases were suspended by an accountability court.

Accountability court judge Nasir Javed gave relief to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's brothers.

According to the verdict, the warrants were suspended till March 14.

It's pertinent to mention here that the former prime minister's sons were declared absconders and their arrest warrants were issued seven years ago.

A day earlier, the former prime minister's counsel Qazi Misbah informed the court that Hasan Nawaz and Hussain will return to the country on March 12 (Tuesday).

Following the revelation, Junior Sharifs' lawyer filed a petition seeking suspension of their arrest warrants.

However, the court today suspended the arrest warrants while approving the petition.
