Heavy rain to lash Karachi after Friday prayers today

The Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) predicted that the port city is likely to receive heavy rain today after Friday prayers.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz said that the thundershowers will continue to hit the metropolis for two or three days.
According to the weatherman, the intensity of heat is expected to be reduced in Karachi after rain, however, the overall weather will remain hot and humid.
On the other hand, weather analyst Jawad Memon said that thunder cell developments are expected in the megapolis after 1pm today under the influence of circulation over Indian Gujrat Region and the North Arabian Sea.
Another weather expert Naveed Khatro predicted that heavy rain coupled with thunderstorms are expected in Karachi after Friday prayers.
A day earlier, the scorching weather in Pakistan's financial hub turned pleasant after different areas of the city witnessed light to heavy rain.
Several areas of the metropolis including Saddar, I.I Chundrigar Road, Old City Area, Clifton, Garden, Tariq Road, PECHS, Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Maymar and Malir received moderate to heavy rain.
