Hit-and-run driver arrested after food delivery rider’s death in Karachi’s DHA

Karachi police have arrested an absconding car driver allegedly involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed a food delivery rider in the Defence area.

According to the police, the suspect lost control of the vehicle due to overspeeding, resulting in a collision with a motorcycle that left Zeeshan, a food delivery rider, dead.

The driver fled the scene along with the vehicle after the accident. The case was registered on May 10 at the Gizri police station.

The police later recovered the vehicle used in the incident and shifted it to the police station. The suspect, identified as Hamza Shamim, has now been taken into custody.

Authorities said further legal proceedings are underway.
