‘I will feel proud as a teacher’: Punjab education minister announces school teaching plan

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced that he will take on the role of a teacher and begin teaching students from the first week of September.

The minister said he would teach English, Chemistry, and other subjects, adding that English and Chemistry are among his favourite subjects, which is why he plans to start with them.

Rana Sikandar Hayat said he will begin teaching English at primary schools and Chemistry at high schools, while also covering other subjects as needed.

He further announced that he would visit one school every week without prior notice to teach a class.

Expressing his respect for teachers, the minister said he would feel proud to serve as a teacher and that the initiative would help assess educational standards and identify areas where teaching improvements are needed.
