Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was interrogated in Adiala Jail over alleged anti-state content being circulated from his social media accounts. However, he declined to disclose the identity of the person operating the accounts, saying, “They will be arrested if I name them.”

A three-member team led by Additional Director Ayaz Khan conducted the questioning. According to sources, Imran Khan appeared unwilling to cooperate and repeatedly showed signs of agitation during the session.

The PTI founder reportedly accused Ayaz Khan of having a personal vendetta against him. “This same officer has been making cases against me in the cipher and fake accounts matters. His conscience is dead, and I don’t even want to see him,” Imran was quoted as saying.

The investigation team, however, clarified that the questioning was being carried out under court directives and not due to any personal agenda.

During the interrogation, Khan was asked whether his accounts were being managed by Jibran Ilyas, or even by foreign intelligence agencies such as the CIA, RAW, or Mossad.

According to sources, the question visibly angered him. “Jibran Ilyas is more patriotic than you. You know very well who is linked with Mossad,” he reportedly replied.

When asked how his messages reach the outside world, Khan explained that he relies on visitors to pass along his words. “There is no special messenger. Whoever meets me conveys the same message to the social media team. I have been in jail for a long time, and I have no other means. Even my political colleagues are not allowed to meet me,” he said.

The team also questioned him on allegations that his social media accounts were being used to spread unrest. Imran Khan denied this, claiming that his posts only reflect his dissenting views on the military operation in the tribal districts. He added that PTI leaders avoid sharing his messages out of fear of repercussions.

According to sources, Khan maintained that revealing the individual handling his social media would put that person at risk. “If I disclose who runs the accounts, they will be kidnapped,” he reportedly told the investigators.
