Rain expected in Karachi next week

Karachi could receive thunderstorms and light rain from September 14 to 16. 

A low-pressure system over the northwestern Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha is expected to move westward, according to the PMD.

The PMD forecast indicates that rain in Karachi Division is likely to occur at intervals, rather than continuously, during the three-day period.

The weather system is also expected to affect several districts of Sindh. Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal and Tando Muhammad Khan may receive dust-thunderstorm rain, with a possibility of moderate to isolated heavy rainfall from the evening of September 13 through September 16.

Light to moderate rain is also forecast for Sanghar, Khairpur, Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Shaheed Benazirabad and Jamshoro between September 14 and 16.
