Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, currently imprisoned, has made two specific requests during the hearing of the Al-Qadir University £190 million reference case.

His lawyer, Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry, presented these requests to the court on his behalf.

The first request involved the provision of a pair of dumbbells for Khan's exercise routine in jail. The second request was for permission to obtain a signed letter from Khan, necessary to access his bank statements.

The court directed the jail authorities to address both requests in accordance with the jail manual. However, the jail authorities have refused to comply with these requests. They cited the jail manual, stating that providing dumbbells for exercise is not permissible under the regulations, leading to the denial of the request.

Furthermore, the authorities have withheld the documents related to the bank statement request, leaving Khan without access to the necessary paperwork.

This situation underscores the ongoing challenges and restrictions faced by Imran Khan during his imprisonment, as well as the strict adherence to the jail manual by the authorities in handling such requests.
