The chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Barrister Gohar, and the sisters of the party’s founder were not allowed to meet him today, prompting them to stage a sit-in near the factory checkpoint close to Adiala Jail.

The meeting hours at Adiala Jail had ended, and permission for the visit was denied. Police stopped the PTI founder’s sisters at the factory checkpoint, where Aleema Khan asked party workers to remain calm and repeatedly moved them back due to the presence of women.

She stated that they had no conflict with the police, saying, “The police are our brothers and have behaved well with us. I am only moving workers back because women are present. Even the police themselves are under pressure.”

Aleema Khan complained that they had been denied permission for several weeks. She added that her sister did not discuss politics during the last meeting, yet restrictions were still imposed.

“We have been coming for the same purpose for the past month,” she said.

After the refusal, the PTI founder’s sisters began a sit-in at the factory checkpoint, joined by Members of the National Assembly Junaid Akbar and Shahid Khattak, as well as KP cabinet members Meena Khan, Shafi Jan, and others.

The road leading to Adiala Jail has been closed, and a heavy police presence is deployed at the site.

Meanwhile, Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar said there was “not even a one-percent possibility” of a meeting after a violation of rules, adding that visits are suspended based on legal grounds, not personal requests.
