Imran said he will play his ‘last card’: Aleema Khan

Former prime minister Imran Khan met with his family and legal team at Adiala Jail on Tuesday, where he expressed his unawareness of the complete details surrounding the aftermath of PTI's protest in Islamabad.

Khan admitted that he had only comprehensively learned about the situation during the meeting with his sisters.

His sister, Aleema Khan, conveyed a cryptic message from her brother following her visit. She quoted Imran Khan as saying, "I will play my last card, but I will not disclose it or use it right now."

She further announced plans to challenge in the Supreme Court the alleged killings of unarmed PTI workers by snipers. Aleema also expressed her determination to bring the issue of PTI workers’ casualties to the attention of international forums.

During the meeting, Imran Khan instructed PTI representatives to visit hospitals and check on the well-being of injured party workers. Aleema revealed that she informed him about arrests and the filing of FIRs against his supporters and party members.

In reponse, Khan directed his legal team to file FIRs against Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accusing them of orchestrating a "massacre" of innocent protesters.

Addressing internal confusion within the party, Khan criticised Barrister Gohar Khan, claiming he either “does not understand the situation or has no idea about the extent of the suffering endured by workers.”

Imran Khan defended his wife, Bushra Bibi, asserting that she acted on his instructions regarding the Islamabad march. “Whatever Bushra Bibi did, she did on my guidance,” he clarified.

He described the treatment of PTI workers as unprecedented brutality, stating, “The barbarity that has taken place has never been witnessed anywhere in the world. They have imposed Yahya Khan Part 2 on us. I am consulting further on this matter and gathering details. We will not let this go unanswered.”
