Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Information Secretary Rauf Hassan asserted that party founder Imran Khan, who was convicted in the cipher case and in the Toshakhana case, will not bow down to powers under any circumstances.

Just a week ahead of the general elections, the former prime minister and his close aide Shah Mahmood Qureshi were sentenced to 10 years in jail in the cipher case. Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, were also jailed for 14 years in the Toshakhana case.

However, the PTI spokesperson expressed confidence in his leadership, saying "Imran Khan will not make a deal even if he gets a harsher punishment."

"Ask Bushra Bibi if anyone has contacted her for a deal," Hassan said while talking to journalists in Islamabad.

He informed that PTI has already contacted envoys of different countries to ensure free and fair elections would take place in the country.

While speaking about potential Horse Trading post-elections, Hassan said: "We believe that the PTI-backed independent candidates will not change their loyalties."

He further said that the party took a strategic move by allotting tickets to 27 lawyers as 'they cannot be arrested'.

Hassan claimed that PTI dissedents, who parted ways post-May 9 attcks, are contacting them to rejoin party.

"The PTI will review the anti-party statements of deserters who are willing to rejoin," he said.
