In a first, female cop posted as additional SHO in Landi Kotal

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police have posted a female, Mehek Pervez Masih, as the first additional station house officer (Ad-SHO) for Landi Kotal police station.

According to the police, Masih has marked a significant milestone for women in the region.

District Police Officer (DPO) KP, Salim Abbas Kalachi, praised the appointment, stating that it ensures access to justice for tribal women and showcases the talent present among women in the tribal district.

Kalachi said that providing a supportive environment for female police officers is a top priority of the provincial police.

He further highlighted the department's commitment to gender equality and empowerment.
