Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President and Member of the National Assembly Junaid Akbar Khan has clarified his remarks regarding opposition leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai, stating that he stands by every decision made by PTI founder Imran Khan.
Speaking to the media at Factory Naka, Junaid Akbar said PTI was like his home, where disagreements and complaints were natural. “There will be differences, there will be arguments, and there will be grievances — this is part of politics within a party,” he said.
Addressing concerns about Achakzai, he said the senior politician may need time to adjust to PTI’s political culture.
“Our party has its own culture,” he remarked, adding that he had recently expressed reservations, saying he was not satisfied with certain ongoing matters.
He said that while speeches had been delivered, the underlying reasons behind certain issues and their solutions had not been clearly explained.
According to him, differences tend to emerge when individuals are given opportunities to move forward within a political setup.
Junaid Akbar further said politics is conducted for this world, not the hereafter, and claimed that internal differences appear less visible in other parties due to what he described as authoritarian structures.
Responding to a question, he made a brief remark about Basant celebrations, saying his party members had been engaged in protest throughout the day.
