Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a meeting with Field Marshal Asim Munir during his visit to Islamabad.

According to a statement issued by the Iranian Embassy, Araghchi’s first formal engagement in Islamabad was with the Pakistan Army Chief.

Diplomatic sources said that Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, National Security Adviser Asim Malik, and the Director General of Military Intelligence were also present at the meeting.

Sources further stated that Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s Ambassador to Islamabad Reza Amiri Moghadam, and Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei also attended.
