On the directives of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the deadline for installing E-Tags on vehicles has been extended by 15 days.

According to details, the original deadline for E-Tag registration in the federal capital was due to expire today.

However, following instructions from the Interior Minister, authorities decided to grant a 15-day extension, which has now been implemented.

The district administration stated that the decision was taken due to heavy crowds at E-Tag registration centres. Citizens have been advised to ensure that E-Tags are installed on their vehicles by 15 January.

The Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad clarified that vehicles without E-Tags will not be allowed entry into the city after 15 January.

He added that, if required, the number of E-Tag centres will be increased further. Citizens have been urged to install E-Tags on their vehicles to avoid any legal complications.
