Jet fuel price slashed by Rs.7.76 per litre

The government has announced a mixed revision in petroleum prices, lowering jet fuel rates while increasing the cost of light diesel oil.
According to the latest notification, the price of jet fuel used by commercial airlines has been reduced by Rs7.76 per litre, bringing it down from Rs396.31 to Rs388.58 per litre.
In contrast, light diesel oil has seen a significant increase of Rs17.03 per litre, rising from Rs270.51 to Rs287.54 per litre.
The adjustments follow an earlier hike in other key fuels. The price of high-speed diesel was raised by Rs19.39 per litre, moving from Rs380.19 to Rs399.58 per litre.
Similarly, petrol prices were increased by Rs6.51 per litre, pushing the rate up from Rs393.35 to Rs399.86 per litre.
The latest changes reflect a mixed trend in fuel pricing, impacting both transport and industrial sectors.
