A Judicial Magistrate in Bannu has issued arrest warrants for Humayun Dilawar, the Special Judge of the FIA Court Islamabad, who had sentenced former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case.

The warrants were issued in connection with a case involving the illegal occupation of government land.

The Anti-Corruption Department sought and obtained the arrest warrants not only for Judge Humayun Dilawar but also for his brother, Sadiq Dilawar, and their father, Dilawar Khan.

According to the allegations, the accused fraudulently registered government land in their names through a court decision, subsequently incorporating it into a housing society, which led to significant financial losses for the government, reportedly in the millions of rupees.

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Anti-Corruption, Musaddiq Abbasi, has accused Judge Humayun Dilawar and his family of land fraud and forging documents. Abbasi claimed that the judge had registered land valued at approximately Rs2.5 billion in his and his brother’s names.

He stated that there is evidence to substantiate these allegations.

In response to the seriousness of the charges, the case against Judge Dilawar has been escalated to the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court and the Registrar of the Islamabad High Court. Additionally, a formal complaint has been lodged with the Supreme Judicial Council, the body responsible for investigating misconduct among judges.

This development has raised significant concerns, particularly given Judge Dilawar’s prominent role in high-profile cases, including the Toshakhana verdict against Imran Khan.
