Karachi: Six people injured as van crashes into majlis at DHA Imambargah

At least six people, women among them, were injured after a vehicle reportedly lost control and crashed into a religious gathering (majlis) at an Imambargah in Karachi's DHA Phase VI on Sunday.
According to reports, the vehicle went out of control after its brakes failed and entered the gathering, injuring several people.
DIG South Asad Raza and security authorities reached the scene immediately after the incident. The Suzuki van occupants were reportedly coming from Sea View and were allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Of the three people travelling in the Suzuki, two were said to be in critical condition.
Taking notice of the incident, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah sought a detailed report from the additional inspector general of police and directed authorities to take the van into custody and arrest the driver.
CM Murad also ordered a comprehensive inquiry into the incident and instructed police to submit a complete investigation report.
The chief minister prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the crash.
