A Karachi resident has received an e-challan for a motorcycle that was stolen four years ago.
The owner stated that his motorcycle had been stolen from Tipu Sultan Road and a theft report was filed at the Tipu Sultan police station at the time.
According to the e-challan dated October 27, a fine of Rs 5,000 was imposed for not wearing a helmet, despite the motorcycle having been stolen years ago.
On the other hand, DIG Traffic Karachi, Pir Muhammad Shah, clarified that following the implementation of the city’s e-challan system, manual issuance of traffic tickets has been completely stopped.
