Karachi is currently experiencing intense heat as sea breezes remain completely suspended, prompting the Pakistan Meteorological Department to issue a heatstroke warning and advise citizens to take necessary precautions.
According to the Met Office, the weather is expected to remain extremely hot and dry throughout the day, with the mercury likely to rise above 40°C.
As of 4 pm Thursday, the recorded temperature stood at between 36°C and 37°C, slightly lower than the forecasted range of 39 to 41°C.
Humidity levels in the city have reached 61 percent, compounding the discomfort caused by the lack of wind.

The department added that sea breezes may resume partially in the evening, while strong, dry winds from the southeast, ranging between 25 to 35 kilometers per hour, are expected to blow across the city.
No rainfall is expected, and skies will remain clear throughout the day.
The Met Department warned of a heightened risk of heatstroke under these conditions, especially for vulnerable populations.
Citizens are urged to stay hydrated, avoid outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours, and seek shaded or air-conditioned areas whenever possible.
