Karachi wakes up to light rain

The city’s residents woke up early on Friday morning to a brief spell of light rain that turned the weather pleasant.
Light downpour was reported in II Chundrigar Road, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Saddar, Old City Area, MA Jinnah Road, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Korangi, Qayyumabad, and Defense areas.
The city experienced a slight drop in temperature at night two days ago due to rain in several areas.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast heavy rain with thunderstorms in Karachi on Saturday and Sunday (February 3 and 4).
Karachiites can expect showers over the weekend as westerly waves will enter the metropolis from Balochistan.
Rain is also expected in Sindh, including Jamshoro, Dadu, Larkana, and other parts on February 2-3.
The weather department has predicted chilly and partly cloudy weather in Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir
