Provincial Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Monday called for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to resign if he could not improve governance in the province. Kundi offered to facilitate Gandapur's psychological treatment for free if he came to Sindh.
Kundi criticized Gandapur for not opposing the military operation in the province when it was discussed at the apex committee meeting.
He pointed out that even the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) did not favor a military operation but emphasized that they were not politicizing the issue of restoring peace in KP.
“Even the PPP does not want an operation. But we are not doing politics on the restoration of peace in the province,” Kundi stated. He challenged the detractors, asking them to suggest any alternative solutions for restoring peace in KP if they had any.
Kundi's remarks highlight the tension between provincial and federal approaches to addressing security and governance issues, urging a focus on effective solutions rather than political point-scoring.
