Farkhunda Farooq, the daughter of a labourer from Punjab's Rahim Yar Khan, has made her family and community proud by securing the top position in the intermediate exams.

The brilliant student, who is a resident of Taba 123, a town on the outskirts of Rahim Yar Khan, achieved an impressive score of 1,084 marks in the Bahawalpur Intermediate Board's Arts Group examination.

Farkhunda's journey to success was not easy, as she had to travel 25 kilometres daily from her village to the city to pursue her education.

Despite the challenges, she remained determined to achieve her goals.

"I want to become a police officer by passing CSS exams in the future," Farkhunda shared.

Her remarkable achievement was celebrated by DPO Rahim Yar Khan, who honoured her with official protocol, accompanied by her family members.

The recognition has not only brought joy to Farkhunda's family but has also inspired others in the community to pursue their dreams, regardless of their background or circumstances.
