To ensure law and order, law enforcement agencies in Sindh have issued stringent guidelines to all regional headquarters in the province for implementing foolproof security arrangements for Christmas, New Year, and Quaid-e-Azam Day celebrations to prevent any untoward incidents.
"Paramilitary forces in the province issued a press release on Tuesday, stating that a meeting was held between Director General Rangers Major-General Shamraiz Khan, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi, and other officials.
During the meeting, authorities devised a security plan for upcoming celebratory events, including Christmas, New Year, and Quaid-e-Azam Day.
The attendees unanimously agreed to launch combined operations against criminals, enhancing security by enforcing rigorous checks at all entry and exit points of the port city.
This proactive approach will significantly limit their movement and ensure the safety of the people.
In light of the government's directives, the meeting decided that the display of weapons and aerial firing would be strictly prohibited on the occasion. Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) will be allowed to take action against violations of these regulations.
