Malala Yousafzai has strongly condemned the deadly attack at the imambargha in Islamabad. She described it as a horrifying attack on humanity and faith

At least 31 worshippers were killed and more than 169 injured when a suicide attacker attacked the imambargha during Friday prayers.

In a message on her social media, Malala wrote “horrified by the attack on a Shia mosque during Friday prayers, an attack on our shared humanity, faith and values,” highlighting the harsh reality that people are not safe even in mosques.

Moreover, she expressed deep sympathy for the victims and their families, and included a prayer for peace throughout Pakistan.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have also condemned the attack, calling it a heinous act of terrorism and promising that attackers will be brought to justice.
