Karachi to receive heavy rain with thunderstorm on Saturday, Sunday

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast heavy rain with thunderstorm in Karachi on Saturday and Sunday (February 3 and 4).

The weather will remain cold and dry today (Thursday) in most of the districts of Sindh, while it will remain partly cloudy in the evening/night hours in Karachi and adjacent areas.

Karachiites can expect showers over the weekend as westerly waves will enter the metropolis from Balochistan.

Karachi may experience drizzle on Friday night and the mercurey is expected to drop in the port city after the weekend rain end, The Met office said. 

Westerly winds unleashed light and heavy rains on Tuesday in different areas of Karachi.

Rain is also expected in Sindh, including Jamshoro, Dadu, Larkana, and other parts on February 2-3.

The weather department has predicted chilly and partly cloudy weather in Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir.
