Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, along with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, have returned to Pakistan after completing UK, Geneva trip.
Both arrived in Lahore via private jet. Nawaz Sharif departed from Lahore on October 25th to visit Dubai, London, the United States, and several European countries, while Maryam left for Geneva on November 7.
In Geneva, Maryam underwent a medical examination for a parathyroid issue.
Following a short stay, she traveled to London. Her trip, initially planned for approximately a week, was later extended.
Before returning to Pakistan from London, Sharif addressed the media, stating that the November 24 call for protests was an attempt to destabilize the country and that those issuing the call would not succeed.
He said that Imran had done nothing but "bring disrepute to the country" during his nearly four years in office.
"What Imran Khan has done during his tenure that people would take to the streets on his call? Tell me a single [development] project that he could proudly present as evidence of development during his tenure," he added.
