Shalimar Express from Lahore to Karachi to resume operations from August 14

The Shalimar Express from Lahore to Karachi has been scheduled to resume operations from August 14.

According to railway officials, the Shalimar Express previously operated from Lahore to Karachi via Faisalabad.

The service was suspended after the Qila Sattar Shah and Munsan Kallar railway bridges were affected by floodwaters.

Officials said that from August 14, the train will operate on a revised route from Lahore to Karachi via Sahiwal. The Shalimar Express will also make five stops along the new route.

According to railway authorities, the train will stop at Kot Lakhpat, Raiwind, Okara, Sahiwal and Sadiqabad railway stations.
