The premiere of the documentary ‘The Police Story’, which showcases the bravery and dedication of police officers during the terrorist attack on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, was recently held at a local cinema in Karachi.

According to reports, the premiere was attended by senior police officials, including IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, Additional IG, and various DIGs. The main focus of the event, however, was the three courageous police officers who confronted the terrorists during the attack.

The terrorist attack on the Pakistan Stock Exchange occurred on June 29, 2020, when four armed men arrived in a vehicle and attempted to storm the premises while firing at the entrance. Thanks to the timely and heroic actions of the police, all four terrorists were neutralized in just eight minutes.

One policeman and three security guards lost their lives in the incident, while several others sustained injuries. The documentary portrays the events with remarkable realism, highlighting the bravery of Policeman Rafiq of the Rapid Response Force.

During the premiere, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon spoke to the media, praising the documentary for showcasing the police’s extraordinary performance. “These officers saved the country from a major tragedy in just a few minutes. I am grateful to the team that created a documentary that remains true to reality,” he said.

He also noted that the good deeds of the police often go unnoticed, and negative portrayals can impact the morale of the force.

The three officers featured in the documentary, Muhammad Saleem, Rafiq, and Khalil, were present at the premiere and drew widespread admiration from the audience. They stated that during the attack, their thoughts were only on martyrdom and the security of the nation, leaving personal and family concerns aside.

Syed Atif Ali, Director of Rawa Documentary Films Productions, explained that the documentary aims to bring the achievements of Pakistan’s police force to public attention.
