The Islamabad High Court (IHC) emphasized on Tuesday that there was no substantiated evidence to support the claim that former first lady Bushra Bibi had been poisoned.
Presiding over the proceedings regarding a petition filed by Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder, Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb sought an update on her medical condition.
The court was informed by Public Prosecutor Abdul Rehman that Bushra Bibi had undergone medical tests at Al Shifa hospital, overseen by Dr. Asim Yousaf, and the results indicated no presence of poison.
Upon hearing this, Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb noted that the medical tests showed no traces of poison.
The petitioner's counsel expressed the desire for Bushra Bibi to personally appear before the court to clarify the matter.
Nevertheless, the court concluded that no harm had been inflicted upon Bushra Bibi.
Subsequently, after hearing arguments from both sides, the court dismissed the petition.
Earlier allegations made by the PTI founder suggested that his wife had been poisoned while at Bani Gala.
The PTI founder had previously claimed that his wife exhibited symptoms of poisoning during Ramadan, with visible marks on her skin and tongue.
