Missing three-year-old girl found dead in sack in Karachi’s Quaidabad

The body of a three-year-old girl was found in a sack in Karachi’s Quaidabad area, police and rescue officials said on Tuesday.

According to rescue sources, the child’s body was found packed in a sack and shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

The police said the girl had gone missing at around noon, but her family did not inform police about her disappearance, adding that the child’s body was later found near the gate of her house during the night.

The police said an investigation is under way to determine who was involved in the killing and the motive behind the crime.

The incident comes months after the body of two-and-a-half-year-old Salahuddin, who had allegedly been abducted in Karachi’s Jackson Market area in April, was found in a nearby drain.
