No monsoon rains are expected in Karachi over the next seven to 10 days, although the city may receive light rain or drizzle during the next three days, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said on Monday.

According to the PMD, moist currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating the upper and central parts of the country, while a westerly wave is also influencing weather conditions across Pakistan.

The department said Karachi and other coastal areas of Sindh are likely to remain under cloudy skies with strong winds on Monday. Light rain or drizzle is expected in the city over the next three days, while the maximum temperature is forecast to remain between 33°C and 35°C.

Most parts of Sindh are expected to experience hot and humid weather. However, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad and Qambar Shahdadkot may receive light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds later in the day.
