The Sindh Education Department has introduced a comprehensive code of conduct for teachers across the province.
Under the new guidelines, female teachers are advised to avoid excessive makeup and high heels, while male teachers have been discouraged from wearing casual attire such as T-shirts and jeans.
Female teachers are also encouraged to wear traditional clothing with minimal accessories.
The code strictly prohibits teachers from consuming narcotics, gutka, naswar, mawa, or smoking cigarettes within school premises.

In a separate development, the Sindh Education Department has uncovered around 5,000 ghost teachers who were receiving salaries without performing their duties.
Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah has ordered their removal from payroll and initiated disciplinary action against them.
To address the staff shortage, the department plans to recruit new teachers from the merit list, replacing the ghost employees and strengthening the education system in Sindh.
